Why won't Thor stream right now? Other titles working fine, but Thor plays just long enough to get through the "Paramount Pictures" mountains and stars, then locks up completely...

Minor problem, but super irritating!!

I've been a Netflix customer for over a year now and I've had no problems with the service until recently. When I tried to make my usual monthly payment, I got a message saying "There seems to be a problem with the card you are trying to use. Please use a different card." Now this is the same debit card that I've been using ever since I started subscribing to Netflix and the card doesn't expire for another two years, so I know it's not an expiration issue and I pay my satellite bill and a few other online subscriptions with this card and I'm able to pay those without a hitch, so this is clearly a problem with Netflix and not the card.

However, when I called Netflix customer service, they told me to contact the card merchant and have the card authorized. I did just that, went back to the site and got the same message.

So I decided to use an AmEx credit card that I very rarely use. Rarely used card, great credit rating, should be able to approve this, right? Nope, exact same message as the other two tries: "There appears to be a problem with the card you are trying to use. Please use a different card."

So I called customer service about it and they told me that they don't accept debit or credit cards anymore because some douchebags had been keeping DVDs when they were supposed to return them. So I immediately ask "If you're an online service and you don't accept debit or credit, then what do you accept? Piggyback Jars?" They never gave me an answer, so I decided right then and there to just be done with this headache that Netflix has become.

A shame too because Netflix had a ton of hard to find stuff that I wanted to burn to DVD using my Roku player and DVD recorder. It was much cheaper to record the 1995 version of "Nancy Drew" off of Netflix than it is to spend $100 to buy a used DVD set off of Amazon. Anyway, had to get that off my chest.

Has anyone reading this gone through a similar ordeal? Has anyone found a solution around this problem? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

When we are watching Netflix on our X-Box , starts off great until about 1 hr in then the connection is dropped. Goes to a request to order x-box gold live. We have x-box gold live. After a lot of messing around we get back to Netflix movie, only to happen again. We finally give up and have missed the last half hour of about 3 movies. Suggestions???
